Season of the Spirit 2026 Day 4

Title: Hearkening to the Sayings of the World to Come

Theme: Prophets of the World to Come

Date: Sunday, 10th May 2026

Minister: Reverend (Mrs) Helen Oyegoke

“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds…” (Hebrews 1:2). From this scripture, we see that our Lord Jesus is the first prophet of the world to come. When we look at our Lord Jesus, we see how a prophet of the world to come ought to be and how such prophets are made. This is why He is able to raise prophets after Him.

Jesus is a prophet by the raising of God and acquisition of life. Jesus became a prophet by what He did; He is the first worshipper of God in spirit and truth (John 4:24). He is a full prophet of the world to come. What the Lord is putting in my heart is that a prophet (Jesus) was raised (Deuteronomy 18:15)

There are different types of prophets: prophets by office and prophets by nature (Hebrews 1:1). The prophets of the world to come are prophets by nature; they have been built by God and acquired the image of the world to come. Without that image, one would not be able to operate in the world to come as he should. One’s placement in the world to come is determined by the image acquired in this present world.

I had an encounter in my early years while in school. I was strong in my faith towards God and my life was around it. I had faith for the future and had much confidence in my faith towards God. I came to Lagos with dreams and ambitions for taking over the business industry. I had faith that I would be a household name and wanted to head a multinational industry by faith. However, one day, the Lord came to me and said, “Reward matters and whatever you do with your life in this world will determine your eternal status”.

I grew up understanding the importance of having natural status, but the Lord showed me that if status matters on earth, it matters in heaven too. In the present world, when one is not well placed as his peers, it is natural to feel sad and depressed. In the same way, if you see your brethren having a glorious estate in the world to come and you are not glorious, you will feel sad.

We all have status that has been accrued unto us in the world to come. What gives us status is our obedience. As we have placement on earth, we have placement in the world to come. Anyone who does not acquire his placement in the world to come will feel the pain of not attaining this status. We must work to attain a placement in the world to come. God wants us to be well placed, which is why He is bringing this word to us.

“All things” (Hebrews 1:1-2) is required for the making of prophets; things must be given to prophets to make them. Jesus became the brightness of God’s glory and placed higher than the heavens by what He inherited (Hebrews 7:26). What one becomes and acquires on earth determines his placement in the world to come.

There is the present heavens and earth, which will pass away with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:10). The present heavens is not our promise or destination. The new heavens and the new earth is what was promised to us (2 Peter 3:13). Jesus was the first prophet of the world to come and He obtained a more excellent name than the angels. These angels are beings of the present heavens and they occupy different stratas according to their make. As such, a Cherub does not have the same make and status as a Seraph.

The mercy we all have this season is the opportunity to acquire nature here on earth, which will reflect in our status in the world to come. Jesus obeyed God while on earth and as a result, obtained a more excellent name than angels. One’s status in the world to come depends on how much life is acquired in the soul.

Our Lord Jesus became so much better than angels and was made an heir of all things (Hebrews 1:2). The way Jesus was made (Hebrews 7:26) is the same way we are going to be made higher than the heavens. God has called us to become partakes of the nature of His Son. Jesus is the image of the invisible God and it is this image that would be relevant in the world to come.

The prophets of the world to come bear the image of the world to come. The image one bears determines his placement. Thus, one can operate in the prophetic office and not come into the nature of a prophet. The essence of the prophetic office is to raise the nature of the prophet in the soul.

The Lord is not just bringing topics to us, rather, He is bringing seasons upon us that are meant to cause us to race ahead of the darkness coming upon the earth. Thus, we should race into nature and image building, as this is our escape from the present. To survive spiritually and have a healthy soul in the coming years, one will need to possess the image of God within.

There is no other thing that can combat the darkness coming upon the earth except the building of the image of God in the soul. The Lord told me that it is those that He has raised that will be the solution to this present world. The world will be helped by men who have the image of God in them. The salvation of this present world depends on men that have been raised by God, as they would be able to break the nations of the earth and turn them to God.

The image of God comes with authority. An immature believer cannot wield the power of the world to come, for it takes one who has been raised as a being of the world to come to do so. We are being called into the world to come, but to participate in that world, one must be raised and built by God.

The Lord gave me this warning that the present world is depending on us and we need to race to have the image of God within us. We cannot afford to live our lives the way we have done previously, instead we must be yielding to every instruction of the Lord and follow His ways so that we can be detached from the present world. This power of this present world is so alluring and strong that it can hold a heart from journeying to God.

Our souls may be attached to different things, some of which could be lawful, but it takes the help of the Spirit of God to help us see the entanglements of our souls. The devil is deliberate about keeping our souls in the present world to prevent us from journeying away from the present world. The present world can deceive us and keep us in bondage. This is why we need the eyes of our understanding to be enlightened so that we differentiate between vanity and reality.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers…” (Ephesians 4:11-13). These gifts are for ascension; they are meant to help men to ascend. The One who gave these gifts has ascended far above all heavens (Ephesians 4:8-10). Those that have the gifts and those they minister to are to come into perfection (Ephesians 4:12)

These offices are meant to bring the fullness of Christ to men and this is ascension (Ephesians 4:13). The five-fold gifts are meant to help men ascend above all heavens. These gifts will bring things to us that will take us above all heavens. God wants us to receive all that our Lord Jesus Christ has because Jesus took all that the Father has (John 16:15).

There are substances that the Father put in our Lord Jesus Christ that made Him so much higher than angels (Hebrews 1:4). The Father gave our Lord Jesus all things (Colossians 1:19), which made Him the first prophet of the world to come. God wants to also give us those things to raise us as prophets of the world to come. Servants and prophets of the world to come are constituted by substances.

The testimony of Jesus has things that we must do to inherit it. The little book has contents that must be made known to one to do. The realm of the little book is a place of swiftness. The prophecy and the little book have contents that will be revealed to one so that you can obey. The little book is swift to obey it, one must have partaken of substances that will make one do the things swiftly.

Satan pulls us back by painting another kind of life to us. The paintings and demands of the Spirit are to help us make progress spiritually, but Satan uses the present world to pull us. When God makes a demand on you, He paints Himself to you so you can leave the visible for the invisible.

Satan constituted this world system to stop souls from ascending to God; he made man descend into flesh and blinded him from seeing beyond the physical. Satan wants man to appreciate the physical more than that which is not seen, but God will raise a company of men who will not live by sight but by the eyes of their spirit.

“Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also”.(John 14:19). The world is not seeing the One we are relating with but we can see and relate with Him. Thus, because He lives, we will live also. The world keeps perishing because it is governed by the law of death. As such, those in the world would persecute us because they cannot see Him. The more we grow spiritually, the more the Lord Jesus becomes real to us.

Christians who are not journeying spiritually cannot understand this kind of reality, much less the world. The more we gravitate towards the life of God, the more visible He becomes to us. Our soul should be raised with the ability to relate with the tangibility of God, such that He becomes a reality that we can rely on. The things being spoken to us are to enable us to change nature.

The world is a big lie put together by a spirit that hates our estate in the world to come; he is a very jealous spirit, who knows he cannot get there, but wants to stop others from getting there. He put things together to stop us and weigh us down to the earth. As such, God wants to unpitch our souls from the earth and take us up. All the things Satan created in this present are to make sure man does not make progress spiritually.

Satan is real and the more we press into the things of the world to come, the more we see him and are able to detect his activities. The battle of evil spirits (Ephesians 6:12) is not to prevent us from having natural possessions but to prevent our soul from ascending in the spirit. Thus, we must be wise when dealing with men and our brethren. When evil spirits speak negatively to us about our brethren, their goal is actually to prevent our soul from ascending.

We are wrestling against these wicked spirits that want to stop us from ascending and their ultimate goal is to lead every man to the lake of fire, if possible (Revelation 20:15). This is why we should put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). That armour is God Himself and putting on the armour is our becoming. We put on the breastplate of righteousness by doing righteousness till it becomes a nature in us.

To be raised and built is the wearing of the helmet of salvation. To wear that armour, we are to do things till we attain the nature of God. We become what we wear as an armour and God Himself is that armour that we put on. We will not be able to fight evil spirits well except we change and acquire things of God.

We came into a wrong nature formation by our walk (Ephesians 2:2). Everything that the devil put together is to raise a wrong nature in the soul; he carved out a system that will make men walk until a nature of wrath is formed in them (Ephesians 2:2-3). We all have walked to varying extents and wrong natures have been formed in us as a result. However, God wants to crack down on such natures to form a different nature inside us.

The nature of wrath is the nature of the lake of fire. One who is not journeying spiritually would not face warfare from these spirits. These spirits are deliberate for a soul not to journey spiritually. As such, we should also be deliberate in our warfare against them.

Our Lord Jesus, the first prophet of the world to come, was raised by God to bring (speak) us to the world to come (Hebrews 1:1). Jesus will speak the things that made Him up to us, which are the things that will also raise us. Jesus is a custodian of the things of the world to come and He does not speak any other thing apart from the things that made Him up. As such, we must hearken to His sayings so that we can become like Him.

The sayings of the Lord are so important because they would raise servants and prophets of the world to come. Our Daddy, Reverend Kayode Oyegoke, said he saw a prophet standing and another prophet lying down. The prophet standing is the prophet of the testimony and the prophet lying down is the prophet of the little book. This shows a man that has been made low and little.

There are different levels of sayings which are dependent on the capacity of the hearer but we must hearken to every saying. A servant cannot immediately become a prophet of the little book, for he must be raised to gain the capacity to receive the sayings of the little book. The little book has sayings that one must hearken to. To attain and acquire nature in the spirit, one must walk in the spirit. To walk is to obey principles and laws of the spirit that will configure one. This is because we become what we do over time.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus formed Christ (Romans 8:1-2). For one to be made free from sin and death, one must have obeyed this law. Our freedom comes from obeying the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. This freedom would raise a stature that can take the word of God. A free man is a raised being.

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”(Hebrews 5:14). Meat is the word of Christ while strong meat is the word of everlasting life. Strong meat is given to those who have used (obeyed), not only heard. One must obey to become free and be raised. One needs high discernment to handle the word of God. The things of the Spirit of God are the things of God which He has promised us and we are to inherit them by discernment.

Our Lord Jesus became higher than the heavens as a result of the things that He received. There are things created and there are things uncreated. Our Lord Jesus who took all the uncreated things of the uncreated God will fold up the created things like a garment (Hebrews 1:12). He has partaken of substances that cannot change, so even when things change, He will remain.

As the Spirit of God is painting these things to us, our hearts should pant after them the way way would naturally pant after natural achievements. We must know that these things being painted to us will take the present away from us. However, we must desire the things that will change us from our current level; we must be tired of our current state and desire to ascend spiritually. For us to ascend, the things from above must visit us.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.”(Hebrews 2:1). These are the things that the Son is speaking. These things can slip when we do not quickly attend to them. When we try to do them after they have slipped, there is no longer grace for them and we end up struggling to do them. In such an instance, we may remember the letter, but the spirit of the commandment has lifted.

These things come so that we can inherit what is being spoken to us because they are spirit. It was not letter that framed Christ, rather, it was spirit. The spirit that accompanies the word requires our obedience for us to inherit it. We inherit the spirit of Christ by doing the laws of Christ. We gain the spirit of Christ by obeying the laws of Christ. The Son of God is speaking to us and He is speaking the things meant for our salvation (Hebrews 2:3).

The prophets of the world to come are overcomers and they are men who are fully saved. The prophet lying on the floor has overcome the dragon, for one cannot overcome the dragon standing. We must fly below his radar by becoming so little and it is this nature that the little book makes out of one. One who is not little is not yet an overcomer and it takes the Spirit of God to paint how little a man ought to go.

When the Spirit of God shows one His commandments, He is showing the demands for becoming little. However, our minds usually contradict the thought of being little based on people’s opinion of us. This contradiction makes one think that being little is being made powerless but the real power is the power of nature and image. When I see the Lord Jesus, I see where God is driving us to and it scares me at times but the mercy and power of God will take us there.

Jesus, who is the being of the world to come is a Lamb that was slain, and this is the peak of image and nature. Jesus as a lamb looks powerless and helpless, but He is witnessing a life of the world to come and the beings of the world to come are meant to be that lamb. There is a life we acquire by obeying commandments that are brought to us. Every instruction that God brings to us is to make us little.

There are different levels of being little. One does not become little without obedience. Nobody wants to be little, and this is why we have competition amongst ourselves, but we are instructed to see our brethren better than ourselves in the realm of Christ (Philippians 2:3). However, the devil stole brethrenhood from man and Cain was the first man he did this to.

When Cain killed Abel, he lost that essence of brotherhood, but we are meant to keep our brethren (Genesis 4:8-9). We are meant to be our brother’s keeper and watch over the things of your brother. Satan stole this but God is restoring it. Prophets are brethren who keep the law of the brotherhood.

“Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book…” (Revelation 22:9). This angel does not have the stature of the world to come, but in their realm, they are brethren and custodians of these things for the purpose of ministering them to men. They are ministering spirits to heirs of the world to come (Hebrews 1:14)

The prophets of the world to come are men who are saved fully; they are fully restored, both of the things Satan stole from them and of the things God gave to them. The Godhead are also brethren, who do not compete with each other. They all play their role in the salvation of mankind selflessly.

Jesus died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6-8). However, we are not yet like this, so when someone does evil to us, we do not feel like doing good to the person. We should aim to be like God who makes rain to fall on both the wicked and the righteous (Matthew 5:45). God can pour so much love in your heart that you would be willing to die for an armed robber.

As prophets of the world to come, we must be like our heavenly Father. To prophesy is to express a life. Abraham did not have a pulpit, but God called him a prophet (Genesis 20:7) because he obeyed God highly. Prophets like Abraham are prophets of the nature of God and they came into this state by receiving substances of God. The prophet lying down has received substances like Jesus that made him a slain lamb. Thus, the real prophets of the world to come are slain lambs.

“For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;” (Hebrews 2:2). If things have been spoken to you and you have disobeyed them, go back and obey them. Otherwise, a building block is lacking from your raising. Every word spoken is so that you can become something in God. The speakings of God are meant to bring salvation to our soul.

Salvation is a building. As such, a saved man is a raised man. One who is raised would have his nature changed to that of the world to come. It is by obeying speakings that we will be saved. The person speaking to us became what He is by speaking. In the same way, we are also being spoken to and we have to obey, heed, and hearken. Sometimes, the speaking of the Father can sound like suggestions when they are actually commandments. However, He is not advising us but is commanding us.

Many of us consider God’s standards to be too high, and we see how people take advantage of us when we try to meet those standards. However, prophets of the world to come are beings that are taken advantage of; they are beaten down so much that men can ride on them and take advantage of them. They do not have the ability to fight back, and are not allowed to do so.

By training, leading, learning and instruction, they have been taught not to fight back and have done it over time to become it; they look like fools but upon them is authority placed. Authority cannot be placed on us when we do not have stature, otherwise we will misuse it. With nature, comes authority. The Lamb that looks slain has all authority resting upon Him.

God can share gifts of the Spirit with children but He cannot share His powers. By reason of growth and raising, God will be able to trust us with the rod of iron for nations and we will not be tempted by their material things, for they will appear as dung to us. It takes a lot of spiritual growth to come into this state.

Salvation comes by speakings (Hebrews 2:3-4). We cannot escape if we do not hear these speakings. The things of God are given through speaking and what we do with speaking is to obey. It is the things of God that will raise prophets of the world to come. The new heavens and the new earth are all products of speaking. As such, our pace needs to be quickened to hear and swiftly obey so that we do not delay our salvation that is preparing us for the world to come.

The Lord told me to do heavens and by this He meant to do high love. It is a privilege to be heavenly in the days of our flesh. God is calling us to do the new earth (Christ) and then move to do heavens and the Son of God. We do the new earth and the new heavens by obeying that which is revealed to us. We will not be satisfied with doing the new earth, but we will journey beyond the new earth and ascend to the new heavens.
