The Blessings and Riches of the World to Come

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 1:2-3). At this time, Abraham was yet to come into the blessings pronounced upon him. These verses summarize God’s intent for Abraham and all mankind.
To approach God, one must be a servant and a worshipper; one must first be a servant before becoming a worshipper. Man moved from God’s blessings in the book of Genesis and over time, worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25). To change one’s attention from the Creator to the creature, is a curse.
Anyone whose attention is not on God, irrespective of his profession or position, is cursed. This curse is bigger than curses people seek deliverance from; it is a general curse on mankind. Once a person leaves God, he leaves the terrain of blessing. Satan trained mankind to come under a curse by making him believe that he is too important to give his entire life to God.
Man is meant for God alone and God is able to take care of him. For instance, He took care of the children of Israel while in the wilderness where they could not plant or harvest. He protected them at all times (Exodus 13:21-22). He delivered the whole nation of Israel from slavery to serve and worship Him (Exodus 9:1).
When man was made in Eden, he was not involved in any profession because he was higher than every profession. However, as a result of the fall, sin brought about the different professions we have today, as man lost the grace of Eden and began to labour (Genesis 3:17-19). God was not being evil when making the declaration in Genesis 3:17-19, rather, He only made pronouncement of the consequence of Adam’s actions.
Immediately Adam’s eyes opened, he began to help himself by sewing fig leaves to cover his body (Genesis 3:7). The scriptures have no record of any profession done by Adam when he left Eden, but his children had professions – Cain was a tiller of the ground while Abel was a keeper of sheep (Genesis 4:2).
While Adam was in Eden, he was a garden dresser (Genesis 2:15). The instruction to dress and keep the garden was more than a physical commandment; it was to keep the garden away from infiltrators. Allowing infiltration into the garden would cause it to lose the condition that it was originally created in and cause it to lose its quietness. As such, when an infiltrator came into the garden and planted his tree beside the tree of life, peace was taken away from the garden.
God instructed Adam not to eat of the infiltrator’s tree (Genesis 2:17). If Adam never paid attention to the tree of knowledge of good and evil, it would have died a natural death and departed from the garden. The tree was not planted by God because He does not tempt man (James 1:13); it was planted by Satan.
Adam ought to have removed the tree of knowledge of good and evil because he had been given the authority to dress the garden. One who is an Adam has the right to deal with trees. This is also evidenced by the fact that Jesus, being the second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45) also dealt with trees (Luke 17:6; Matthew 21:19-20).
Trees are elements of the beginning; they have ears to an Adam, not mere men. A person must be rooted in the beginning to be heard by trees. Trees and mountains are older than men, hence, a man must be rooted in the beginning to be heard by mountains. It was equally an Adamic privilege Jesus used to speak to the wind to be still (Mark 4:39). The Adamic race was however closed after the coming of Jesus, who is the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45).
Satan deceived man to fall into a profession which God never originally created but was required to handle the things of the fallen man. Man ought to have populated Eden, for it had the ability to expand and fill the earth. Without the fall of man, Satan would have been cast away into the lake of fire. The fall of man was therefore to delay Satan from being cast into the lake.
The lake of fire is the second death (Revelation 20:14). The devil is not afraid of hell, but he is afraid of lake. Hell is the first death; it was not engineered by God, but by a creature – Satan. The second death is the gift of the Creator to Satan and those who died with him. The second death existed before man was created but God delayed it to bring forth man and to see him overcome.
God made man a creature of choice, that is, a being with the freedom of will. He gave man the freedom to choose where he would end. Anyone forced to dwell with God would not be able to stay because he would hate others and would have developed a nature that cannot be changed. It is the present world that can accommodate haters and lovers of God but the world to come cannot.
The lake of fire is the world for the haters of God; it is a world for those who want to contend with God forever and ever. Those going to the lake cannot repent; they will continue to curse God for all eternity because they have the same rebellious nature as their father – Satan. In Revelation 16:8-11, despite plagues being poured on such men, they did not repent and continued to blaspheme God.
A lake is like a bowl; it is a body of water surrounded by land. The lake of fire is the same as a bowl of fire. What was given to the men with the mark of the beast was a foretaste of the lake of fire and yet, they did not change. Anyone who gets here has a nature of Satan, hence, can no longer change and would face the consequences of death irrespective of the pain inflicted on him. God is just, so anyone who gets to the lake of fire is there by his choice. That is why we must be careful with what we do on earth.
Believers should be cautioned about the possibility of getting spoilt beyond redemption. A soul is gone if it cannot be brought back to repentance (Hebrews 6:6). Repentance is the lifeline of a soul; it is the indicator of the health of a soul. Once a soul cannot tell if something is wrong, something is dead within. It means that the soul has become numb.
Repentance differs from condemnation. Every sin should cause a check in a believer’s soul and make him repent before God. We have the tendency to err as humans but we must continue to repent. Repentance is not mocking God; it is keeping us alive.
The fall of man created room for natural occupation; God gave us professions to keep our body and soul together, not our spirits. From the beginning, Adam was not meant to work; he was a full priest dwelling in his tabernacle of trees and woods and was fully tuned to God. When Cain left God’s presence, he expanded the business of professions (Genesis 4:16-22).
God had a way of checking man’s heart towards natural resources by requiring proceeds from his work. Abel gave the best of the proceeds of his work to God (Genesis 4:4). God received offerings from man so that his soul will not stay in his work and that work becomes his god. As man works, he will naturally worship his work if God does not help manage it.
Man worships by being occupied with providing solutions to the problems created by sin. Our true vocation is to end up with God and as we fear God, He will help us to do our profession (Ecclesiastes 12:13). There should be nothing else before us but God. Curse is departure from God which is death; it is what pushed man away from God and made men with another god. To have a ministry can be a problem for a man. Satan was a minister in heaven and his problem was that he loved what he was doing more than the Creator.
After the fall, men began to create gods for themselves. They then became ignorant of God, fell into depths of darkness and forgot the origin of how they knew God. Men’s understanding of God became darkened and they forgot God until God found Abraham; He commanded the blessing for all mankind upon Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). Abraham obeyed God till the end and became a blessing with his children and generations.
When God makes a covenant with any man, He never forgets and follows after his children and generations after. God introduced Himself to Moses as the God of Abraham despite the many generations between Abraham and Moses (Exodus 3:6). Moses bore the emblem of Abraham. There is a difference between the latter generation, that is, from Moses and the beginning generation, that is, the fathers.
“[3] And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them” (Exodus 6:1-3). God was known as “God Almighty” to the fathers. The name “Jehovah” means “Lord” and the name was introduced after the fall of man. When this name is introduced to people, it means they are currently far from God but when He brings them closer to the fullness of name, He introduces the name “Lord God”.
God began to show Himself as Jehovah in Genesis 4 and subsequently, men began to call upon the name of the Lord and lived (Genesis 4:26; Genesis 5). Although he was not born evil, Cain chose to be evil and slew Abel (Genesis 4:8). Abel chose to be righteous (1 John 3:12). These men were priests with the presence of the Lord as their trainer and teacher, yet Cain left the presence (Genesis 4:16). The presence of the Lord is the same as the faces of the Lord which train souls to know and get God.
Seth was born by the will of the Lord, after which men began to call on the name of the Lord (Genesis 4:25-26). To call upon the name of the Lord is to get men to salvation, that is, to trace men back to God (Romans 10:13). The revelation of the Lord is the revelation of salvation. Thus, it is higher than going to heaven; a person can die without fulfilling his course because he never called on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:10).
God being the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob means they called upon His name and He saved them. He was never called the God of the 12 tribes of Israel because they never called upon His name. As such, when He appeared unto Moses, He revealed Himself as Jehovah because the children of Israel could not take the revelation of God given to their fathers, that is, God Almighty (Exodus 6:3).
The name ‘God Almighty’ is the name that precedes God, and is higher than “Jehovah”. It is the name of God as Father, meaning the trainer, disciplinarian, rescuer and redeemer (2 Corinthians 6:17-18). The “Lord” precedes the “Almighty”. The Almighty got Abraham to present him to God but God had to come down in the book of Exodus to “Lord” in further instances as unto Moses.
The allocation of the book of Genesis is the Almighty God. The book of Job must have been a season in the book of Genesis because men called God, “Almighty” in the book of Job (Job 24:1; 37:23). The book of Job is for those going to God.
The covenant names of God are aligned for us as Christians – God, Almighty and Lord. God being “our God” and we becoming His people (2 Corinthians 6:16-17) is higher than becoming His sons and daughters (2 Corinthians 6:16-17). One who is just a child of the Lord is just separate. Afterwards, he would be taught not to touch the unclean thing. It takes a priest to teach people what is clean and unclean (Ezekiel 44:23); what is clean cannot be known by an ordinary person.
God blesses man by introducing Himself. To remove Abraham from the curse, He blessed Abraham by leading him. When God leads a person, He is also blessing the person. Generally, believers have received physical things and have breakthrough testimonies but we are yet to be blessed. We need to be trained to be blessed. God’s making of a person into a blessing is to make him like Himself.
Abram means “exalted father”, implying he was a father when the Father met him (Genesis 17:5). A man can be raised yet not have the ability to generate. The name “Abram” was symbolic for Abraham; he met with God at a point of God’s revelation as the Almighty. Abraham must have been born a few years before Noah died and would have heard of Noah. He must have been part of the men who did not follow Nimrod and did not build Babel; he must have retained a longing for God.
When God met Abraham, man had fallen so low that only the “Lord” could take him back to God. God taught him the covenant of the “Almighty” and led him to the covenant of “God”. The name “Lord” is an integral part of God’s revelation that can extend far to the lost or flock that have gone astray. It is the Lord that is our shepherd (Psalm 23:1). The house of the Lord is “God Almighty”. As such, we ought to look for God to see the Lord and get the Almighty. These names of God abide within Him.
Therefore, prophets are men who subject themselves to training to follow the revelation of the Lord God until they get to where He is (John 14:2-3). Heaven is not the house of the Lord; it is a creation of God. God does not live in a house made with hands, even His own hands (Isaiah 66:1-2; 1 Kings 8:27), but He still needs a house, as Jesus references God’s house (John 14:2-3). The Lord needs a house apart from living in Himself; we are being raised to become the house of God.
Prophets are those who can trace God to His house; they follow Him until they find Him. This is why prophets are fugitives; they are without an abiding place. Every prophet should be looking for a city whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews 11:10). Every prophet should be dissatisfied, as God is not satisfied; they should be looking for another city (Hebrews 13:14). In following God, we meet goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6). Mercy is higher than goodness; goodness flows from mercy. God can never be evil because He is merciful.
To make us blessings, we must be taken away from the curse. The curse differs depending on how far we have individually journeyed as a flock away from God. The healer of the curse(s) are the being that constitutes God. Getting to God Himself is the final phase. God ordained that the earth should be everlasting, meaning that the earth can accommodate everlasting ordinance (Numbers 25:13). “And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.” (Exodus 40:15).
Everlasting priesthood is a priesthood that survives generations. Anything more than 500 years is everlasting; if it is up to a thousand years, it is strong. The strength of the earth is its ordination for a thousand years. God gave the men of the Old Testament, a lasting priesthood. This is why it is not easy to take away the Old Testament except by the death of the Son. The Son is the “end” of the law; He came to fulfil it (Matthew 5:17).
The law was obtained strongly and was removed by the Son. Nevertheless, it is still being used by some Christians today. Anytime the law is read now, it is read with a veil (2 Corinthians 3:15). Reading the law without spirit will cause one to fall into darkness, and recovery will be difficult. It takes mercy to break free from the law, and it will take heaven to redeem those bound by the law. This is the power of the veil upon the law.
The world of “God” has ordinances. “Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.” (Hebrews 9:1). This implies that there was a divine allocation in the covenant of Moses in the Old Testament. Anyone who got into this divine order became divine by the law. The realm of this divine is the realm of the Holy of Holies; this is where God is found. When God is able to raise and harvest men who can do the Holy of Holies on earth, out of the generations of the earth, such men must have been called back to reckon and can raise the everlasting priesthood again.
The idea of everlasting life was present in the Old Testament but was not harnessed fully until the Son of God came. The Son of God came to earth to show us the pattern in the Holy of Holies. The minors here are babes in the Most Holy Place and are higher than the priests in the sanctuary. The second set are children weaned from milk for God; they feed on the word until they become the third set of minors i.e. young men. A young man is a servant of God.
“[12] I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. [13] I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. [14] I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.” (1 John 2:12-14). Young men have the word abiding in them. A young man is an owner of the word. The word is bread and water; anyone with the word of God ought to serve Him (Exodus 23:25).
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15). Adoption means being taken from the sanctuary into the Holy Place. It is the spirit we gain when the Lord receives us to Himself. The destiny in the Most Holy Place is Fatherhood. The spirit cries “Abba” and “Father”. “Abba” means father, so there are two kinds of fathers whose course must be fulfilled (Romans 8:15).
Young men are servants; fathers are worshippers. The Father is looking for fathers i.e. those who can be an “Abba” and worship (John 4:23). Worship is beyond falling; it is a dimension of obedience that further saves and seals a person. There is what a father will do that a young man cannot do. The devil may be overcome in a dimension but because he is also a father, we ought to overcome him fully and not in a measure.
When God proclaimed to make Abraham a father, His desire was to make him into a blessing. A father is he who has finished the course of the two fatherhoods; he cannot take his eyes away from the Creator and serve the creature. A father cannot bow to any other god but God, because he has received the blessing. Abraham was a young man when he went to Egypt (Genesis 12:10) but when he went to the land of the Philistines (Gerar), he had become a prophet and Isaac was in the womb (Genesis 20:1, 7). He had been blessed to produce. Prophets are carriers of seeds; they are originators and generators.
The first fatherhood is he who carries life. God blesses with the bread and the cup. The bread is for service, and the cup is for worship. The bread makes young men, and the cup makes fathers. The bread builds the person who must be blessed, and the cup gives the blessing. It is God who makes a young man a father. When God does this, he is making a prophet.
God’s desire for anyone He makes a father is for such a person to procreate, multiply and dominate. The blessing is not yet in full when a person is not yet a father. We become fathers by blood and testimony. Prophets are beings of the cup and fathers whom God looks to for worship.
The devil used to be a father among angels, implying he was a prophet. God gives secrets to those who fear Him and not to ordinary people. “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.” (Psalm 25:14). The covenant emanates from the blood i.e from the cup. When God shows His secrets to men, He is showing His covenants. He shows His covenant so His testimony can be obtained.
Prophets are those who have the blessing of the cup. Anyone God wants to make a prophet must be a young man who has overcome the wicked one because the wicked one hinders and restricts us from the cup (1 John 2:14). The cup contains the lesson of the beginning, because fathers are those who have known God from the beginning (1 John 2:13). To see Him from the beginning is to see His full essence. The first fatherhood is therefore to see His testament.
The Father is equally a prophet who trains men to be like Him. He changes anyone who is being made to become a prophet to that which is from the beginning and watches their transition. The first lesson is truth; the lesson of the testimony. This means a person has potency i.e. is blessed. Afterwards, God waits for such a person to come into another fatherhood i.e. the book.
A person with the book becomes the second “Abba” (Romans 8:15). The second Abba is a book out of blood. It takes time for the book to appear and bears the next portion of the prophetic. This portion makes one sure, truth and true. This is why the Holy Ghost is the spirit of truth and is also true (John 16:13). God is truth and is also true (1 Thessalonians 1:9).
The order involves three things: way (word), truth (the first season of fatherhood) and life (true) (John 14:6). A person can be in Him that is true before becoming true. “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20). To be in the True person, one must be truth. The true God is life and Eternal Life is the only true God. A true prophet is a prophet of life.
The opposite of truth is false and lie. The true prophet (of the devil) is the beast; and the false prophet was the prophet who told man to worship the beast (Revelation 13:12). The false prophet came into being true to do what he was doing; he commanded others to worship the beast to become true himself. The beast had to kill the first two prophets to completely become a lie and a preacher of it.
A prophetic blessing houses what is truth and what is true. A person may be free yet be without life. We should know both the truth and the true (John 8:32). God is life, truth and true (1 John 5:20). To be a blessing is to be true. God is life. No one should claim he is true because what is true is merciful. What is good is what is truth.
What must shortly be done are the things that are true. “And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.” (Revelation 22:6). The real sin against God is to love lie i.e. to hate truth (Revelation 22:15). We are not supposed to hate God. Our example is Jesus who does that which is true i.e. His sayings, obediences and dyings. When one obeys the true God, the lie of the devil dies.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11). These lives are a stain in a soul that testimony cannot clean; God does not want them as a stain completely. There are certain things within us that can consume us if we do not have enough power against them, so God equips us to kill such beastly things. God discouraged the children of Israel from outrightly killing existing dwellers of the promised land to protect them from animals (Deuteronomy 7:22). However, when a prophet has been made, he has come of age and can be found against any wrong things. Only a prophet can fight a prophet.
As we journey to become true prophets i.e. prophets of the book, we fight the lie which is a life. Some of us may not fight our lie until it is removed in the world to come. Nonetheless, God has ordained that certain overcomers will overcome the lie and will be rewarded in the world to come. We need life to fight the lie i.e. the strength of Satan. His strength is that he knows it is difficult to resist him.
Satan created a terrible thing called ‘a lie’ capable of tempting angels. Many Seraphims fell but some angels overcame. These latter angels must have resisted Satan well such that they chose to hate him and hated him. Also, Satan must have shown a terrible thing to Adam using the tree of knowledge of good and evil; it was a temptation of fathers. Satan tempts with what He offers, but we must fight daily so we would not become a lie lover but be true. To become true is the blessing!
Amen.
