Understanding our Faith Path to Glory

There are tough seasons of uncertainty and perplexity coming upon the earth, which the Lord expects the churches in the word of righteousness to be in the forefront of to bring hope and proffer solutions.

By the time these seasons come, men must have been raised who have gone through tribulations with patience, and have accessed the dominion by much suffering. In a local assembly like this, we must all partake of our cups as we are led by the Spirit.

These are cups of blessing and inheritance but they include sufferings. This is how we will please God and it is at this point that faith changes mannerism. As one grows, the definition of faith changes.

Faith is to obey one’s sufferings; it is to not override the cup of suffering. Faith is doing what God wants us to do; it is obedience to what God reveals to us, that is, the revelation of His pleasure. His pleasure may be how we live on the earth till we meet Him; it may also be His constraints on us.

We all have different types of cups, whether single or married. Times of uncertainty are coming upon the earth which must meet us waxing strong in the spirit. We must build strength for such times now and not in the time of battle; we do not know the nature of our individual paths of tribulation, so that we will not faint.

We ought to spend each day obeying God as our lives are in God’s hands and our time on earth is only known by Him. Our lives can only be extended by mercy. As such, our time on earth is for growing and waxing strong in the spirit; it is for obeying God and detaching more from vanity. The comfort of the spirit when we lose dear ones is progressive.

Sometimes, all we can have is a sense of the faithfulness of God. God’s ways are diverse; He knows how to comfort us. He might not explain everything but He would give us an understanding to sustain us in such seasons.

We must understand our faith path to glory which leads on to the saving of our souls (1 Peter 1:9). Milk faith is the faith towards God (Hebrews 6:1); it is an introduction to the New Testament. However, the New Testament faith is the faith of the Son of God (Galatians 2:20).

It is the season of the faith of the Son of God that we can understand the tribulations required to come into the knowledge of God and the faith that enters into the Most Holy Place. All the churches in the New Testament were churches in tribulation; they went through both physical and spiritual persecutions.

The New Testament churches in our days will also go through tribulations and return to the state of the New Testament churches in the scriptures. The present world will change and be against the New Testament faith – the faith of the Son of God. The epistles in the scriptures were written by men in tribulation, who were going through times of physical persecutions.

1 Thessalonians 4 was written to comfort those in the Church who lost their loved ones. The modern day church preaches positivity, but this is contrary to faith. Faith is about doing the will of God in every matter. Our idea of a successful Christian life is living and dying peacefully while asleep but this is inaccurate.

The Apostles, who wrote the epistles, did not die in a peaceful manner; they chose to please Jesus even in their manner of death. Apostle Peter chose to be crucified upside down as he did not deem himself worthy to be crucified like Jesus. Currently, we are a church of tribulation in the spirit but our tribulations will only increase in seasons to come. In the next few years, the world will become darker because much of God’s work would have been done, which will arouse the dragon upon the earth.

We have been called to the Church to be trained because the tide of the battle will soon change. We can glean this from “The Final Quest” written by Rick Joyner and Jane Leade’s 1679 prophecy.

There will be more persecutions and tribulations, amidst glory and exaltations. These will be evident in our lives, including our marriages. It is therefore imperative that we take every opportunity or time to grow well spiritually.

“[2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; [3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [4] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:1-4). Faith must be tried. Jesus desires that we are unwavering and steadfast in faith so salvation can be generated in us. Faith has the power to save the soul (1 Peter 1:9).

The faith of Christ sanctifies the soul and the faith of the Father saves and preserves the soul. The essence of the training of faith is for salvation. The process of faith coming into the inheritance of salvation must be perfected by patience (Hebrews 6:12).

We must understand how to constantly rejoice in tribulation because tribulations are faith demonstrations working out salvation in our souls. Faith is fortified when a heart has received grace to do God’s will; it is how we demonstrate that we have received grace. Grace can be measured by faith and love (1 Timothy 1:14).

Faith is obedience to righteousness or revelations of God and it climaxes in love. Tribulation triggers grace which is why we ought to love it. The average Christian avoids tribulation, yet desires to enter into glory. We have been called to suffer, which is obedience to faith.

Jesus worked in His sufferings as an example for us to emulate. Through grace, we can answer the call to suffering which is customized for each person. We cannot handle a promise unless we go through a cycle of the promise becoming ours.

Jesus’ life is a promise to us; salvation is also a promise to us which is a preaching of the hope of what we will become. Messages are preached to us to give us hope. As such, we are able to attain the promise as we obey the cycle of salvation, which includes suffering and tribulation.

All New Testament churches in the Bible went through the cycle of salvation. Our faith is tried to give us an authentic salvation, that is, the authenticity of God’s nature. One who is not being tried has not heard enough to be thrusted into tribulation. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) as well as by tribulation. Tribulation works out patience in us (Romans 5:3) because without patience, the trial of faith will be aborted and we will not generate salvation.

We need understanding to interpret events in our lives so we do not crumble in faith. When we go through tribulations, we should rejoice because without it, there is no glory. What sustains the world of tribulation is constant rejoicing and thanksgiving; we must also hold on in faith.

We must be able to interpret our different paths and rejoice despite situations such as being single and seeing younger ones getting married. Jesus loves us all specially and we experience different expressions of His love.

We sometimes face delays in achieving our desires but we must interpret such scenarios prophetically while remaining patient. Irrespective of what we are hoping in God for, there is no point in our lives that we should not rejoice.

“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12). We should continue to give thanks once the substance of our requests enters into our spirits (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We cannot have patience in tribulation without the trial of our faith.

We should not abort faith through lack of patience. Patience is sustained by thanksgiving; we should not grumble or complain. Prayer also sustains faith; Jesus also prayed in His time of tribulation (Matthew 26:36-26).

We should pray even when we do not feel like it because it strengthens us to keep obeying God. Prayer generates sufficient strength so that the faith programme will end in salvation. We can come into everlasting rejoicing such that there is never a down time.

“Rejoice evermore. [17] Pray without ceasing. [18] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). We must be people of faith to be able to always give thanks in all things because we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). We can only do this when we live by revelation, otherwise we will be frustrated. We must give thanks to God for Nigeria because we live by faith.

We must give thanks in whatever situation we find ourselves, including health issues, financial struggles and others, otherwise, we will fall prey to our realities. Faith does not work outside of grace (Romans 4:16).

Abraham lived a life of faith despite the contrary realities of old age before him (Romans 4:16-18). It is not about what we see but what God has spoken. No matter the wrong nature in our family line, we must believe that which is being spoken to us by God.

Faith is built on the integrity of Who said it. We may have records of genetic illnesses in our families but we need substances of faith to be delivered. When we walk with God, He can reduce our ages by strengthening our physical bodies. He did this with Moses (Deuteronomy 34:7) and Abraham, who gave birth to Isaac at the age of 100 (Genesis 21:5).

Abraham was not shaken in faith because of God’s spoken word (Romans 4:19-20). Thus, we should also not waver, otherwise we will not receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6). Abraham never staggered at the promises of God; he was unmovable and unflinching (Romans 4:20).

When we give thanks, our faith is strengthened. Abraham went through the cycle of faith; he went through the trying of his faith and tribulations, but stayed constant in prayer and thanksgiving. “And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” (Romans 4:21).

We are to be fully persuaded of salvation and if we are not, it is because we have not heard enough. We must get to the point where nothing can stop us. The Apostles became fully persuaded and nothing could stop them. Satan must have also accused the Apostles by attacking the people in the churches.

We cannot be fully persuaded without patience which makes up the character of salvation. We should always be rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 5:16). We must be intentional in not being distracted by what we hear. The dragon fights dirty and does not play by the rules.

As such, parents must fight over their biological and spiritual children because Satan attacks them to break their focus; he brings anything to stop us from journeying spiritually. We must understand the source of our problems – the devil, and go against him. The devil wants us to be offended and bitter against the word, but we must find grace for our hearts to be healed and face the devil.

We must be thankful concerning our spouses and children; we should give thanks for our loved ones in heaven and focus on running our races here on earth. When saints transit into heaven, they move into another dimension better than this present world.

They are not sorrowing as they are in the presence of Jesus, so we should not sorrow, for there is no better place to be than the presence of Jesus.
